As professional designers and RC enthusiasts, the pure excitement we felt for the potential of the Losi Promoto Mx dirt bike establishing as a new class of mainstream RC racing was very inspiring. We knew immediately the potential of accessories and upgrades was limitless. We got to work right away and spent months sketching, designing, and testing numerous designs and materials. Though it required dedication and hard work, in a way it didn’t feel like work because we felt like a kid again playing and making our new toy look super cool.

Our Problem
How to Protect the Clothes of the RC Motorcycle Rider?
The problem we wanted to solve from the get go was very simple: protect the amazing uniform and jersey on the figure from tears and damage. Losi went the extra mile to make the MX figure look realistic and finally for the first time the correct proportions for a RC rider on a motorcycle was achieved. Why destroy the rider doll’s clothes on your first ride?

We accomplished this goal! Our upgrade body armor protector pads create a visual impact on the Promoto MX motorcycle that we think enhances and makes the Losi Promoto MX dirt bike rider look even more formidable and impressive.
What we saw on the market and in some home-produced armor pad products was add-ons that lacked visual focus and appealing design. These upgrades did not represent the cool visuals of the Losi Promoto MX and, as designers, we wanted to see the Promoto MX rider wearing motocross inspired armor and protective gear. This electric dirt bike demanded amazing add-ons enhanced with excellent design.
